I don’t really like the way it treats borderless photos as non-rectangular, so I keep it unchecked. The program offers two ways to convert files. Generally, it’s a good idea to choose the same settings for both conversions.
If you need to save the image selections, you can save just the outlines or the selection sets as a Smart Object to then redefine the outline. This is wonderful for working on many selections at once. It’s also quick to do and easy to find.
